Bunny Bella, jointed bunny

I have another new bunny finished! Her name is Bunny Bella and she is wearing her new spring hat! Of course, nothing about her looks new....I hope! My intention is to make my work look old and vintage or antique.

I jointed her at the arms and legs, but her right ear keeps the right arm from moving much.  I used plain old sculpey to make this lop eared bunny.  I like its matte finish. Pro Sculpt and Fimo have a shinier finish when cured.

Watch for more bunnies! I'm in a bunny kind of mood!

Bunny Fifi

This is the second of the two bunnies I showed you earlier.  The first one was a commissioned piece. This one is up for grabs!  Her name is "Bunny Fifi."

I used waxed cord to joint this bunny. I like to use it because I can pull a tight knot in it so the arms and legs are not too floppy and loose.  She has tiny black beads for eyes and a hand dyed silk ruffle around her neck. I used an antique stain to give her a vintage look.

Each of my pieces is created one at a time, so no two are just alike. Because they are unique, and not manufactured, they make wonderful heirloom collectibles for you to pass down in your family.

Brambles, Bunny Rabbit

Brambles is my first bunny for spring of 2013!  I will make similar ones, but none just like him!  He is jointed with wire, very old looking, and somewhat goth.  This miniature is 3 inches sitting and 3¾ inches long with his legs extended.  I  have detailed him with tiny "stitches"  and a hand dyed silk ruffle around his neck. He looks like he has come from the past and has lots of spring stories to tell!

Cottage White Shabby Sweet Bunny!

I have listed another cottage white piece! This one is a little bunny with a hand dyed silk ruffle around her/his neck. The ears are accented with a vintage style print.

Even if you don't have a cottage white style house, touches of it here and there can be quite charming. I think it's a very cheerful look and it takes us back to simpler times. In fact, I'm working on replacing all of my towels and sheets with white. I am a 50s child, so it is a very nostalgic look for me.

Tip:
I used wire armatures in the ears and the tail for this piece. Even simple pieces benefit from armatures.

I have this baby in a bunny suit up for sale on my website for only $59. That is a great price for a doll that is one of a kind. Her face will never be repeated because I never use molds.

About her:
She is 4 inches high to the tip of her bunny ears. She has hand painted eyes which were glossed for realism. I sprinkled a light layer of fairy dust on her because I simply love sparkles! She has detailed bunny feet pads. Her face was painted with fine acrylics and Genesis heat set paints, then sealed.
She is eagerly waiting to help you celebrate spring at your house!

Bunnies and contest!

The first bunny is the one that I made for the tutorial that I plan to post within the next couple of days. I kept it very basic so that even a beginner can make a similar one. Bunny 2 is just a different version of the same bunny, with a longer and more obliging face, just like I like them!

How often do you find anyone, especially a Made In America site giving anything away?

I should mention that these are miniature bunnies...a little over two inches high.
